! Achieve Success has a team of experienced tutors who provide private tutoring in Florida for almost any subject or grade level. We have been awarded the Florida Department of Education’s, “Excellent Tutoring Provider” rating. This honor officially recognizes our high level of parent satisfaction, school district satisfaction, and student learning achievement.

Convenience

Our tutors come straight to your home. Many parents prefer a home tutor since there is no need to mess around dropping off and pickup up their child from tutoring centers or learning centers. In addition to in-home tutoring, our teachers can meet you at a library, or other convenient place if you prefer.

Elite Private Tutoring Services

We have countless parents who, once they try our one-on-one tutoring, would never go back to the small or large groups they had at other places. We believe that when a student works one to one with a private tutor, they have the best chance to improve. Some students are embarrassed to ask questions when part of a group, and continually fall behind their peers for this reason. Other students are easily distracted in a group setting, and having personal tutors makes all the difference. Using a private tutor also has advantages over online tutoring since in person a tutor can see if the child needs more help on a topic by the expression on their face or the hesitation in their voice when responding to questions.

Affordable

We have the best rates around. Many high-priced tutoring centers charge twice our rates, or don’t offer the specialized tutorial services and attention your child deserves and needs

Youth Group / Church Group / Summer Tutoring Programs

Whether it is tutoring in Miami, tutoring in Orlando, or anywhere around the state, we can also partner with groups during the school year or in the summertime to provide tutoring at your favorite facility.

Tutors in Many Subjects and Many Locations

Whether it is an algebra tutor, reading tutor, SAT math tutor, or anything else, you can see some subjects we offer here.If you are looking for private tutoring in Florida, you can find a local tutor here.

Tips for improving reading in the Primary Grades (K-2)

Connect with Books: Repeatedly read the same book…once is never enough at this age. Ask questions about the pictures and the text: “What color is the kite?” or “How do you know Sammy doesn’t like chocolate?” etc. Help your child relate to the book; “Have you ever lost your favorite toy before?” or “What would you have done if it happened to you?” Having your child answer questions about what they are reading is always a great way to help build comprehension.

***Play word games with your child. Have them play the rhyming game with you to see how many words they can rhyme (i.e. fat/cat/rat/bat; ran/can/man, tan; etc.) Practice blending sounds together. With a smile ask, “So, what word you think I am saying? Then, hold each SOUND longer than normal and say “ L- O- G,” for log. Also, say a word and challenge your child to pick out another word that begins with the same letter sound (i.e. Keesha/Key, Lollipop/Lion, etc.) Finally, challenge your child to a game of “Changing the Word.” Have your child sound out the word as you change it from cat to rat to sat; from sat to sap to lap; and from lap to lip.

Reading Tips for All Ages (Pre-K through 12th Grade)

Embrace Reading as a Family Activity: Have a place in your home designated for books. Read using expression and repeatedly say how much you love to read. They’ll follow suit. If your son or daughter is older and able to read by her/himself, ask questions about what they are reading so you can stay involved. Go to the library on a weekly basis and have your child use their own library card to check out books. Buy books as gifts for birthdays and holidays and bring books to read wherever you go: doctor’s office, restaurant, car rides, etc.

Encourage reading materials that they’re interested in: Not all kids are interested in the same thing. Get books and magazines that interest your child. If she or he is interested in sports, check out books on the sports that they’re interested in. If she or he loves science fiction, fantasy, romance, horror or mystery then get books in those genres. Do not worry if they’re reading the same types of books; instead be happy and proud of him/her for reading. If you need help picking out books ask your local librarian for help or go to http://bookwizard.scholastic.com/ to help narrow your search by topic, subject, interest and reading levels, genre, language, and reading motivation programs.
